The World Series of Darts event is one of five being staged by the Professional Darts Corporation worldwide during 2015, and will see eight of the sport's top players line up against eight Oceanic qualifiers. New World Champion Gary Anderson, current world number one Michael van Gerwen and reigning Sydney Darts Masters champion Phil Taylor - who has won both previous stagings in 2013 and 2014 - will head the field of competitors in the three-day event. They will be joined by former World Champions Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld, 2014 World Championship finalist Peter Wright, eight-time major champion James Wade and former Lakeside Champion Stephen Bunting - last year's runner-up in Sydney - in taking on eight top names from the Oceanic region in the first round. The tournament will kick off with the eight first round games on Thursday August 20, with the quarter-finals following on Friday August 21 before the semi-finals and final sees the tournament conclude on Saturday August 22.
